restored to mint

This photo is a documentation of performances I did in 1987 in which I painted abandoned cars on the streets of Bridgeport, CT where I lived. It was a time of severe economic decline and political abandonment of the area. I tagged the scrap cars by covering them with “mint” colored paint. My intention was to use guerrilla actions and humor to draw more attention to a deteriorating situation.
